For
version 1 of the website of the Journal
of Hyper(+)drome Manifestation,
we used:
This website is optimised for Mozilla on a 17'' screen display (1152 by 864 pixels). For suggestions, or anything else regarding this space's design: send email to journal AT hyperdrome DOT net ,but before resorting to email, bear in mind that we are not apostoles of the usability school. We are well aware that this space does not abide to myriads of well-respected guidelines for developing content on and for the Web. In developing this website, we've unleashed our imaginative efforts, knowing that a certain trade-off between creative expression and usability is always at play in the design of virtual spaces, yet we chose not to become paranoid about Jakob Nielsen's idea of a perfectly usable website. We apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused to your otherwise smooth and uninterrupted web-surfing patterns, and to make up for it, we are bound by this (il)legal document to continue developing this space. For one thing, this site is very likely to mutate into something dramatically different, aesthetically, in the not very distant future. We also plan to roll-out a much lighter, stripped-down, ascii only, parallel version of this website for epileptics (like one developer of this site who's jacking in from home with a 56k modem), but we are not there yet. So, for the time being, those of you who do not really enjoy the ride into the mountains and valleys of the disfunctionally developed Webland bear with us or go visit this bloke or that place instead. And btw, this page is not valid html. |
